Air source heat pump installation in London. Heat-loss survey first, honest advice on whether your home is ready, and full support with the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant. We don't currently install ground source heat pumps.

5 out of 5 stars
The survey was the honest conversation we needed - they explained what our house could take, swapped two radiators, and the heat pump has been quieter and warmer than the old boiler. Grant paperwork was all handled for us.
Heat pumps need more design than a boiler swap. We start with a proper survey, not a sales pitch.
We measure your home's heat loss, check insulation, and survey radiator and pipework sizes. You get a clear written report and recommendation.
We mount the outdoor unit, run insulated pipework, swap any undersized radiators, fit a hot water cylinder where needed, and connect everything to your existing electrics.
We commission the system, walk you through the controls, and handle the MCS handover paperwork required for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.
We install air source heat pumps from the main manufacturers - the right fit for the vast majority of London homes. We don't currently install or repair ground source heat pumps.
We model your home's heat loss before recommending a heat pump. Sizing is the single biggest factor in whether a heat pump performs well - too small and it struggles in winter, too big and it cycles.
We guide you through the £7,500 BUS grant application and handle the MCS-certified install requirements that go with it.
Heat pumps run at lower flow temperatures than gas boilers. Where existing radiators are undersized for that, we tell you up-front and quote any upgrades alongside the pump.

The two main heat pump types. We install and service air source heat pumps only - we don't currently take on ground source installs or repairs.

Most homes
An air source heat pump sits outdoors and takes heat from the outside air. It's the most common heat-pump choice in the UK - works in flats and houses with private outdoor space, eligible for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme, and usually installs in a few days.

A ground source heat pump uses pipework buried in your garden to take heat from the ground. We don't currently install or repair ground source systems - if that's what you need, we'd recommend speaking to an MCS-certified ground source specialist.
Our engineers install heat pumps across these London areas
An air source heat pump takes heat from the outside air and uses it to warm your home and water. It sits outdoors like an air conditioning unit and is the most common choice for UK homes. A ground source heat pump takes heat from pipework buried in your garden. It is more efficient long-term but needs significant outdoor space and a much bigger upfront install. We currently install and repair air source heat pumps only - if you need a ground source system, we'd recommend an MCS-certified ground source specialist.
Yes, air source heat pumps work in most London homes, including terraced houses and flats with private outdoor space. Ground source is harder in London because of garden size and planning, and we don't currently install or repair ground source systems - we focus on air source. We survey your insulation and radiator sizes first to make sure a heat pump will heat your home properly.
The UK government Boiler Upgrade Scheme offers grants of up to £7,500 towards an air source heat pump and up to £7,500 towards a ground source heat pump (figures as of 2026). You typically need to own the property, have a valid EPC without outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations, and be replacing fossil-fuel heating. We can talk you through air source eligibility during your survey - we don't currently install ground source systems.
An air source heat pump installation usually takes two to five days, depending on whether radiators or hot water cylinder also need replacing. We install air source only - we don't currently take on ground source installs, which can otherwise take one to three weeks because of the groundworks.
Yes. Modern air source heat pumps work down to around minus 15 to minus 20 degrees Celsius, which is well below typical UK winter temperatures. Efficiency drops a little in very cold weather, but the system still produces useful heat. Sizing the pump and emitters correctly for your home is the key to comfortable winter performance.
Modern air source heat pumps are quiet - most operate around 40 to 50 decibels at one metre, similar to a fridge. We position the outdoor unit thoughtfully so noise to your home and your neighbour's home stays low. Planning rules require a permitted-development noise assessment for most installs.
Sometimes. Heat pumps work best at lower flow temperatures than a gas boiler, so older radiators that were sized for high temperatures may need upgrading to maintain comfort. We model your home during the survey and only recommend changes where needed.
Heat pumps are typically two to four times more efficient than a gas boiler, so for every unit of electricity they produce two to four units of heat. Running cost depends on your tariff, home insulation, and how well the system is set up. For a well-insulated home on a heat-pump electricity tariff, running costs are usually similar to or lower than a gas boiler.
Yes - once a year is recommended. A service typically includes cleaning the outdoor unit, checking refrigerant pressures, testing flow temperatures, inspecting electrical connections, and checking the controller settings. Regular servicing keeps efficiency high and helps preserve any manufacturer warranty.
