London plumber prices compared
Same leak, very different bill. We checked what 12 London plumbers charge, straight from their own websites. And yes, we're in there too.
Key takeaway
A first hour costs £114 to £180 (typically £145), but the rate isn't the whole bill: evenings cost 19% to 67% more and 4 firms add parking and the Congestion Charge. British Gas and HomeServe don't publish a rate at all. Good reviews come at every price.
All prices include VAT. Hover over or tap an underlined first-hour price to see how it has changed. A dash means the firm doesn't publish that figure, and ~ marks an estimate from the firm's own multiplier. Firms with a chevron have a full side-by-side comparison with Renzy. See How we compare for how the figures were collected.
Renzy charges £120 for the first hour on weekdays, with parking and the Congestion Charge included. You see the price before you book.

How we compare
- The firms: London plumbing and heating companies that publish an hourly rate on their website, plus British Gas and HomeServe, the best-known national names, which don't.
- First hour: the weekday daytime rate for the first hour of heating and gas work, or general work where a firm has only one rate. Most firms charge at least an hour, so this is the least a visit costs. Rates published without VAT have 20% added.
- Evening first hour: the same, for the firm's first weekday evening band. Evening rates start at different times, so the table shows when. Where a firm only says its evening rate is a multiple of its daytime rate, we work the figure out and mark it with ~.
- After the first hour: how the firm charges for the time that follows.
- Parking and Congestion Charge: “Included” means the firm says it doesn't charge for them, and “Extra” means it says it can add them to the bill. “Congestion included” means the firm only says it won't charge the Congestion Charge.
- When: first-hour rates are checked every week. Evening rates, billing and parking were last checked on 9th October 2026. Each row shows when that firm was last checked. Renzy's prices come straight from our booking system.
